Have a Winchester Model 70 featherweight 30-06 Springfiled Rifle with a Weaver variable 3-9 scope. I bought it new in the late 50's. I only used it for deer hunting so it has had very little use. I am wondering what it is worth in todays market as I am thinking of selling it. Any help would be appreciated.

I can safely assume the price range is between 900$ to 1,200$.
It is not very easy to find them at the market so if you are patient you'll find someone willing to pay the high end of the price range.

I'm not sure what currency you are using.

If your rifle is 90% or better it could be in the 1200 - 1500 range. 30/06 is a very desirable caliber as is the feather weight, and pre 64's are the most desirable winchester rifles.

Thanks to all who responded. What is the best way to go about selling it to get the best price. As you can see, I'm very new at this sort of thing.

Selling firearms is like selling anything else, just don't undersell your piece. You can try pawn shops and ads in local media. Gun actions on line is another avenue. Dallas Guns have alot of winchester rifles and you can try giving them a try. I've never sold a firearm on line so i'm not sure about the legalities but these people should be up to date.
