I have a remington 22 model 12 s/n 838744. I know it was manufactured after 1911 and is in good condition no nick, dings or pitting. Any idea when made and approximate value?

remington md 12 pumps were made from 1909-1936 in a bunch of different models and grades,,for a standard grade model 12A book value is 200 fair-500 exc.as for the actual date it was made ..there should be a letter code 2 or 3 letters on the barrel near the receiver,,that will date it ,,

from the letters judging from production years i'd say it was made 3-1936,,selling is a tough thing to say because it all would depend again on the model or grade which is hard to say without a hands on look at it ,,but i'd say you should proably start around 250-300 and go from there unless really clean and perfect working order,,seems like a shame to get rid of something with family history,,but i know kids these days...they like the pretty guns,,a dealer will only proably offer you 125-200 for it and it proably has more value in memories than that..
