Looking to get the value of a Luger my Dad brought back form the war. It has matching number on the parts.It is in good condition.

hello,,many different variations of the luger were made and prices can be anywhere from 500 -many thousands for rare ones ,,so heres what we need to get the correct information,,on the top of the toggle there should be markings,,letters ,,numbers ,,a date,,ect any markings you can find will tell which model you have,,then any proof marks on the sides ,,like german swasticas eagles with numbers under them ect..also barrel lenght and type of grips..also condition of finish,,good very good,,ect,,plus any acc's with it like holster ,,stock,,extra mags,,ect..i can proably give more info and a value once ya tell me what i'm looking at..also a pic would be good if you can do pics,,you may have a fairly common one or ya may have a big dollar one.. but just need more details

Thanks, bigcurt for you responce. The Luger is in the Seattle area, along with the Baretta Silver Pigeon that I listed. They have been in the safe since the early 80s.

The Luger at that time had been appraised at $1,500. It does have a brown holster and one mag. Just a little more info than I first posted. Thanks again for your time!
