hello,,first off what do you concider inexpencive ,,next question is have you fired a pistol ?best bet for you would be to go to a locak gunshop and ask the dealer to look at a few and see what he recommends ,,if you came into our shop i'd proably show you something in a 380 auto or a 38 special,,and see what felt good to you ,,there are alot of 38 special lightweight revolvers on the market both new and used that might fit your needs ,,are you looking for something for self defence or just a take to the range and shoot ,,the 380's are small compact semi autos and fit most womens hand good ,,and as a personal defence pistol they are very good ,,prices for either one may be in the 150-250 and up range used and for 250-350 and up you should have some choices there new ,,those would be the 2 calibers i'd suggest for personal defence ,,that would be fairly easy to learn to shoot good ,,
