On page 309 of my copy of Cartridges of the World, 9th edition, the .454 Casull is listed as having a .50bmg primer. I have a .454 cartridge in front of me and it has a small pistol primer. Is there something I'm missing or did they goof?

Today you can get cartridges for the .454 with at least two different primers. If I recall correctly HSM had small primers and other commercial ammo had large primers. I was told that it depends on what brass is used. I've talked to .454 owners and they have told me that both seem to work.
