Thanks..after getting a look at the gun I noticed there were 2 screws on one side of the frame. Seems to have cracked. After getting other info that appears to be common with the gun.
I would say it's worthless in this condition!

I have one and it has the cracks you described. Do you think it is a safety issue?

I'd bet the cracks are near or centered on screws. DO NOT fire the piece os shit. I did test fire a 357 mag round without a problem.(I always test fire,or have the person selling a fire arm do it.)
I got the info on it afterward. I figure you already have fired it...Best thing to do is pawn it...it's a guilt free way to get rid of it and maybe get enough $$ for lunch at McDonalds (dollar menu).
Good luck...hit me back if you want.LATER!!!

I just took it to a gunsmith. He laughed and said those are not cracks, but the mating joints of individual pieces that are part of the original design. Sure looked odd with the "cracks" looking like they pass through the bolt holes. The head of the screws act to hold down the piece edges. I learned something He said I paid a premium at $160 a couple years ago and thought the 3.5 inch gun was excessively heavy.

I'm glad you got a "gunsmith's" input. The $160 you paid is concidered a fair price when you got it. However the Jersy importer has very little to do with the quality control of the production.
Argentina's claim to fame is the various silver ores found in the regine.
Check the internt. Better yet, see what your gunsmith will give you for it. Bring 50 rounds with you and ask him to fire all 50 in succession.
Bottom line is it's your decision.
Make it easy...get a Glock!!
