hello again,,sorry i thought it was a semi auto model,,and i think your saying it's a wheel gun ,,that explains the short barrel,,now i think i'm getting on the right page ..lol brain dead sometimes and i've answered alot of questions,,lol,,well you have some good points on man. dates i see what you mean about some not being within the ranges,,the proof house site is an excellent site and seems to be pretty acurate ,,so colt says it was made in 1907 and from looking the police positive 32 &target is the only serial number range that fits ,,and colt should know from the serial number and the markings,, ,,the barrel dates are exact for a pocket positive ,,right up to and including the july4 1905 and these dates are word for word outa the blue book of gun values listed for the first issue pocket positive ,,but again the serial number for the pocket positve are not right UNLESS colt got your description mixed up because of the 32 colt new police cartridge line which may be the reason they said 1907,,from the serial number that would be a police positive ,,but if they misstook your description and looked up the police positive that could be the answer to the problem and the 1907 date for the serial#,,i beleive your pistol is a "pocket positive" that was made in 1913 ,,if you check.. everything works out right ,,the patent dates are right and the pistol was made untill 1927 and serial number range would work for a pocket positive first issue revolver ,,values i have would be 275 good -600exc,,i think that we have solved the mystery..lol..lol,,and sorry i gave you the wrong info earlier,,i just didn't click on it mabey being a revolver,, and my first thoughts were a colt pocket auto..
