yes ,,any colt thats still in working condition is a great deal for 100 bucks,,even as a parts gun it's got that much in useable parts ,,as for refinishing..what you have to concider is the age of it and what your expecting to do with it,,if your looking to sell it and it's really bad then you could refinish it to try to enhance the sale ,,but to a collector the value will go way down unless a professional does the job and a total restore may cost close to what the gun may be worth,,some gunsmiths are good and some are so-so,,and if the refinish job isn't done properly then you could loose more than you gain in value ,,so depending on how rare it is the overall condition a collector see's it in ,,it's a your call situation,,look for an upcomming gunshow near you and try taking it with you and find a colt collector and see what he says about condition,,sometimes something may look ugly but some collectors would rather buy something ugly and restore it themselves ,,

,,if in NIB condition the 22 peacemaker books for 550,,and a good restoration might cost you 250-350 for a nice job depending what might need to be replaced or refinished,,end results may be close to the value by time you figure in the refinish /restoration+cost of pistol=350-450,,if you leave it alone and it's in working condition but fair overall ya could proably double your money and let someone else worry about restoring it..just my nickels worth..
