HI. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is worth. On the top of the barrel it says Colt's PT F A MFG. CO. Hartford, Ct usa. The patent dates are Aug 5, 1884, Nov. 6, 88 and March 5, 95. The serial number is on the butt and is 257xxx. thanks in advance. There is the horse in the circle on the grips, so I know it wasn't military.

it sounds like ya may have a model 1892 new army or navy civillian model,,the patent dates put it as a later version,,book values range from 200 fair -800 in very good condition,,you didn't mention the barrel lenght and a preiminum can be added for 3"versions
