I have a Colt Silver Star 45 one of a thousand 1981 Colt Custom Shop Limited Editions to herald Colt's use of stainless steel in their semi-autos.

Value is around $1400 from what I can see of the few auctions. Highest price for NIB: $1900. Lowest I've seen for NIB around $1200.

It's a great gun, and shoots as good as it looks.

This is the response I got when I inquired of Blue Book about the Silver Star.

"The Colt’s Silver Star MKIV Series 80 in bright stainless is not in our database. Colt’s issued 1000 of this special edition during 1984, and it has a current retail value in the $900-$1,100 range."

I was wondering if you still have the Colt 1911 Silver Star, 45. ( Content edited due to prohibited activity)
