Maybe someone can help, I have a Colt 1911A1 .45 with serial #starting with 858. From what I can tell it was made in 1942. It is is great shape and I want to know the approximate value. Any help is greatly appreciated.

with so little to go on it's hard guessing a value, check out gunsinternational.com and see if they have a similar 1911.
