Hello all. I recently inherited a Colt Government Model 1911, and after doing some looking around online, I found out it was produced in 1955 (through the serial number). I have no intent on ever getting rid of this gun, however I am curious as to what it may be worth at this time. Any help that can be provided is appreciated.

hi gashooter,
the value for these weapons can vary greatly, but for general purposes you're looking at somewhere in teh 1200 - 1600 range. with history or other considerations it could go much higher. JMHO

I picked up a Colt 1911 that is a government model. It is a 1950's gun and has the .22 conversion with it. Do you know the value of the pistol and the conversion are worth together.

Thanks,

Lee
