Hello everyone,
I am new to this site myself! been on a couple of days. it is great. I have seen a lot of help on a lot of items!
I thought I could contribute a secret that my dad taught me!
when you run across a old rusted up firearm. I mean frozen.... ugly, brown and looks like it needs to be thrown away rather than saved.
Coke is king! I have taken salt watered wrecks, pawn shop gems and turned them into fine shooting pieces.
put those old parts in coke for a day or so...... not too long!
It just flat eats the rust right off the metal.
works wonders!

Let me know how it turns out for you. i have had some great success with this. make sure when you pull it out that you clean and oil it right away.
I have done this with a old airweight and it has turned into a fine plinker!
I also have done this to a Remington 700 and it is my favorite hunting rifle. I use it all the time!
