Well, the time has come again this year for our new restrictive CA laws to go into effect soon. Thus, I am in the market for a new pistol to buy within the next month (sold some stock yesterday, up over another dollar today, grrrr...). I am well represented in the basic calibers (.22LR, 9mm, .40) and would like to get a .45. I have a CZ .40, but did not like the feel of their .45 when I was handling it last year. Someone here suggested baby eagles, and I did like the feel of those pistols, the .45 felt 'right'. However, it says on their website that they only offer the semi-compact version. That may be ok, but I would really like a nice full-sized one. I like the nice price of about $500, too. An Oly Arms would be my dream (I love their full-sized pistol, for feel and accuracy- I like it better than the actual Colt models), but the price is a bit steep. I figure this will be the last pistol I ever buy while still living in this state, so I want to make a right choice. I have not been to the range in a while... they might have something for a good price, though. Other than the BE, are there any other suggestions in the similar price range that combine accuracy, quality and feel? Thanks for any

For $500 the finest .45 is the Glock 30.

GO rent one at a range, shoot it and see.

Big on the inside, small on the outside.

If you can only have ONE pistol, it's the one. Accurate & concealable, reliable and softer perceived recoil than many other .45s.
