my buddy owns a composite shop, and he recently helped me make a real carbon fiber stock for my ruger 10/22 target gun. its very light and I have made it for a .920" dia. barrel, it works & looks great. I have no plans to sell it but for the right price anything is possible. to my knowlege there is nothing like it on the market and I can make more... I know what the materials are worth but Ive got so much time in to it I would have no qlue what to sell it for. I would like to know what one would pay for a similar stock and how many people would be interested.

it is definetly possible but I need a stock for a mold and will probably destroy it in the process depending on mat'l type if its metal it will just have to be refinished.

I got your message and I'm sorry to say that reproducing a polymer frame is out of my league. It would require a compression mold which I do not have access to. A stock is different due to it having less grooves and pin holes, cutouts, frame rails etc. feel free to run your ideas past me and I will let you know whats up. Ttyl

I have a gun stock I built out of aluminum for an SKS and the weight of it is 14lb now which is too heavy I need to build it out of a lighter material and I was wondering where I could get this done or how to go about doing it myself.
