Can you give the value of a Winchester single bolt action 22 rifle that is all original? On the barrel it says MOD.02-22 short, long or extra long. The date says August 29, 1899. I measured the round barrel to be 18inches and the bluing is near perfect. The wood has several tiny scratches which I hope show in the photos. It has been stored in my gun safe for years and oiled occasionally but not fired. I can take additional photos and send if needed.
Please take the rifle outdoors into natural lighting and reshoot new pictures. Find a location that is in bright shade, and use a gray or light colored background cloth (do not use white). Try to get clear close-up pictures of the all the markings on the barrel.
Thanks...I got 3 pictures to upload...hope they help.

The bluing is not exactly "near perfect", but it is in very good condition for its age. It is in the 60-70% range, and with the expected patina (browning/plumming). The overall graded condition is exceptionally good for a Model 02, as most were used hard and show it. The value in the collector market is a minimum of $800, and could go as high as $1200 (if you are willing to hold out for the right buyer).
Thank you so much for this information. Any recommendations as to how to best market this rifle?
List it on Gunbroker.com with at least a dozen clear pictures from all angles. Start the bid at $600.
I sure appreciate your help....have a great week end and thank you!
