I cannot find this Browning Light 12 shotgun in the resource books. It is engraved, quite old, in good shape and I suspect it was purchased in the late 1930's. Any one with knowledge or advice would be welcomed to comment. It is from an estate and I would like to sell it.

hi jon,
you can check out this site,
http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/ detail.asp?id=13

and see if it'll be of any help in id'ing your shot gun.
pre WW2 firearms records for browning aren't that thorough.

Thanks for the post. I am going to a dealer to see if he can figure it out. This site you referenced was interesting. I suspect i have one of those guns not listed in the pre-war era.
