i have an old belgium browning BAR in 30-06;
it says morgan, utah, and montreal, r.q. on left side, and browning patents on right side (of barrel);
the serial no. 04238 M71 does not fit the browning s/n formats for guns made 1969 and up;

I called Browning, and they said it was too old for them to date?

it says BAR in the barrel;
help,help
