Hopefully some one can help me out - I have a Browning Auto 5 semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun - made in Belgium - the serial number that I find on it is: 72V 3097

Can someone tell me what year this gun is and roughly how much its worth?

hello,,your browning auto 5 was made in 1972 by the 72v code on it and was a magnum model,,value in good condition would be around 400-600,,mabey a little more to the right person or collector depending how the buyer sees the condition and how bad they want it..

I have a browning Auto 5 with serial 143059. Based on the serial number shows should have been made between 1903-1939. Stock not in best condition was told by a gunsmith about 6 years ago probably only worth about $1500 and he would buy it but I thought it should be worth more. Shoots smooth and little recoil for a 12 ga. What do you think the range of the worth?
