have a light 12,belgium made,never fired,have original box.barrel says special steel,12 gauge,2&3/4 inch shells.is this worth my time?

any browning has value,,some are better than others but for the most part ya can't beat a browning as an investment ,,that said your light 12 should be valued in box at 550-650,,mabey more at auction or to a browning collector in the condition you stated it's in,,and it shouldn't go down and it doesn't eat much ....but if you'd like to donate it to the bigcurt fund i never turned down a handout,,
