I am searching for a bolt action .223, with iron sights and an integrated/fixed magazine. Preferably one in a shorter, carbine-like length. Does anyone know who might make such arm? I'd appreciate any info anyone could provide. Nero

I think Remington still makes the Model 700 ADL in .223. Also, you might want to look at their Model 7. Finally I know that at one time Winchester offered their Model 70 Featherweight in .223. HTH.

Savage has some models of bolt gun listed in this caliber as well last I looked . Anybody have one ? I was hoping to buy one of theirs later this year . Anybody got thoughts on it ? as ever Enjoy Life Willi

I had a brand new CZ527 in .223 a couple of years ago and had nothing but problems with it. Primarily, it would not feed. Problem turned out to be the stock was improperly inletted around the trigger guard/magazine opening. Could have been fixed with a little glass work, but not worth the effort to me.
