Curious as to the value.I know the gun has been slammed on other forums due to potential insufficient heat teatment of the receiver but I have experienced no problems I'ts really fun to shoot. Accurate enough with iron sights to shoot 6 inch grouping at 200 feet(with 55 year old eyes).Have scoped rifles to reach out and touch beyond that distance. Love the spike bayonet;it adds character.Thoughts on the receiver/potential problem scenarios?

Hi,
Not all BWest guns had soft receivers, in fact most were ok. If you check on some of the AK specific forums you can find tons of info on BWest and Clayco and other very early imports. These early AK`s are pretty interesting and some are worth a few bucks too.

Thanks to every one for their input!!! I have put more than 400 rounds through it since May without any malfunctions. My only gripe is that I have had to move the front post almost as far to the left as it will go to in order to put it on target at 25 yards. It makes it look really weird!!!
