I am in possession of a Colt Model 1911 .45 ACP. It is in fair condition and the serial number indicates it was manufactured between May 1918 and Oct 24 1918. This was a military issue and it has been parkerized. I am attempting to determine the value of the weapon.

hello 1911 colts are starting around 1000 and the price just goes up from there ..collectors look for original finish guns with no refinishing or alterations and original parts ,,a 1918 made 1911 would proably have a black finish and sometime these were refered to as a black army model,,values can go as high as 2500 for original guns depending how correct and original they are ,,a good hands on apraisal should be had for these to determinge how correct it is ..
