astra 400 history question

I have never seen an Astra 400 in a spanish civil war photographs but have seen several Campo Giros in Republican photos. It may be I am looking at the wrong pics? Would the regular army units (mostly nationalists?) pretty much monopolized the Astra 400's while the more 'surplus' Campo Giros could be seen more often in Republican hands?
