I am new to the shooting world, and as always, dream of having an AR-15 for fun. But i have been reading that they will be outlawed by new crimebill. Is this for all 'assault' type rifles? I want to dive further deeper into this fun and exciting world but dont want to have my weapons confiscated in 5 years..

The new crime bill is far from a done deal. Vote against the so-called 'democratic' bastards. Do what you can to fight against the Kalifornia anti-gun nuts. Probably double barrel shotguns and air rifles will be the last firearms to go as they still have them in GB and Japan. Buy a M16, a real assault rifle, if you can afford it and live in one of the States that allow their ownership.
If you want it, get it. Five years from now President Hillary may not let you buy it or the Holy Bomb may have been dropped on America.
