hello your md 100 could be worth around 350-450 depending on condition ,,mabey a little more if extra nice ,,PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING WARNING===>be aware that winchester recalled model 100's in 1990 because of a possible problem with fireing pin breakage and lodging in the bolt fireing pin hole resulting in the rifle fireing before closeing with possible injury to the shooter or firearm or both,,please call there toll free number to see if yours has been repaired ,,i found this number online for there customer service 1-800-852-5734 it is recommended that the rifle not be fired without first checking with winchester on if it was repaired..

Thank you for the help on pricing my Winchester Model 100 .308.

I would not consider selling it because it has served me well since I bought it new on Oct 2, 1962. To make it better handling in our Michigan brush, Williams Gunsight company removed six inches from the barrel. I removed the iron sights and installed a 4X Lyman Bear Cub scope that also served me well.

ALL of my kills with it have been ONE shot kills, right in the heart lung areas. In fact, I hit a Canadian black bear right in that spot as it was leaping at me. After the recoil, I looked for a second shot. When I didnt see the bear, I lowered my trusty Winchester and saw the bear lying about ten feet in front of me. Stone dead.

Yes, my rifle has been taken to Williams Gunsight and updated per Winchesters' suggestion.

My Winchester LOOKS like a rifle. The Remingtons' look like little shotguns!

Big Curt, Thanks for the answer to my question about the Model 100 Winchester .308.

I bought it new in 1962 and have killed many deer and one Canadian bear as it was springing at it. It dropped dead at my feet.

Maybe I will just leave it to my favorite grandson.

Thanks,
B'wana
