anyone know what a 257 roberts m77 is worth

I have been offered as much as $850 for mine at a couple of gun shows. But if yours is like mine it does not shoot MOA with the new 257 ammo available now and even worse when I tried the Hornaday 257 magmum ammo that was available quite a few years ago. The best accuracy from the m77 will be through hand loads I would suggest 100 grain bullets instead of the commercial 117 grain I also had some luck with some 90 grain hollow points and so long as I didn't try to push the velocity I could obtain sub MOA with both the 100 and 90 grain bullets. On the other hand my Browning BLR in 257 Roberts handles the commercial 117 grain bullets with sufficient accuracy to make clean shots out to 300 yards so long as you do your part.
