I have a Winchester rifle that belonged to my father. It is a model 68 - 22 short. Long and long rifle. New Haven, Conn. No date listed but there is a 'patent pending'. This rifle was not new when he received it at age 10, 75 years ago. Very good condition.

Can anyone tell be the age and value of this rifle?

Thank you!

Hello,

Winchester introduced the Model 68 in early 1934 (76-years ago). If your father recived it 75-yeara ago, it was practically a brand new rifle.

The value is predicated on two things; (1) the graded condition, and (2) the factory originality (is it still 100% factory original, no missing or replaced parts, and not refinished).
