This was left to me by my father when he passed. I dont know anything about this other than its a 22 caliber. It will hold 7 rounds. Has the numbers 7817 on the Handle and Barrel. Tried getting a clear picture of the top where it says "Allen-22" but none of them came out clear.

hello,,These type of pistols were produced in the late 1800's by Ethan Allen ,,,,Ethan Allen also used the trade names of Allen and Thurber and Allen & Wheelock company and in 1871 after the death of Ethan Allen the company was purchased by Forehand and Wadsworth who made revolvers untill 1902 when they were purchased by Hopkins and Allen so any one of these firms may have made your pistol.. these companys made a wide varity of inexpencive revolvers and most refrence books don't go into much detail on all the models and variations.. I checked 4 refrence books i have and only basic models are shown ,,all of these companys made spur trigger 7 shot 22 revolvers and also made nickel plated guns with plastic grips ,,without seeing a pic of your exact model it's hard to tell exactly which company or which variation you have ,,from experience with the pocket pistols there value seems to average around 100-250 in working order and in the condition yours appears to be in,,sorry but like i said there were soo many variations made to be real exact ,,there are some books out there and there are collectors who collect these types of pistols made around the turn of the century ,,,,
