A PROUD ARMY MOM AND DAD

HELLO ALL,I NEEDED TO EXSPRSS OUR FEELINGS,YOU SEE MY FAMILY AND I JUST SURVIVED ANOTHER YEAR WITH OUT OUR OLDEST SON,WHO WAS KILLED MAY 8TH 2004 ,IN IRAQ.TO ADD PRESSURE OUR NEXT SON WHO IS CURRENTLY LEARNING TO BE A OFFICER,JUST RECEIVED HIS NEXT POSTING,WHICH WILL BE FT HOOD TEXAS,BASIC FLIGHT SCHOOL.HE IS SCHUDULED TO FLY THE APACHIE LONGBOW.WELL OUR NEXT SON WHO IS 17 JUS ANOUNCED TO US THIS EVENING HE WANTS TO JOIN THE NATIONAL GUARD,SO WE ARE OF COURCE PROUD OF OUR SONS,BUT WE ARE ALSO SUFFERING,WE STILL HAVE A 13 YEAR OLD SON WHO ALREADY HAD STATED HES FOLLOWING ALL OF OUR FOOT STEPS,AS I AM A COMBAT VET TOO.SO WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP TONIGHT SAY A LITTLE PRAYER FOR ALL OF US MOMS AND DADS AND OF COURCE FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE AND HAVE SERVED .GODS BE AND THANK YOU.CHESTER AND DEE EVITT

you definatly have a family to be proud of !!and as always we are proud and honored to have you all aboard !hopefully your boys won't have to serve in harms way and if they do i'm sure all of us here on the boards wish them a safe return!!

Thank you,I am also fortunate that the corpman that saved my life,when I was hit in the gulf war,happens to live near us.He stopped by and visted with my wife and boys tonight(im currently deployed a us merchant marine officer)just to check on all them.I told him via the phone that his job as a corpman ended a long time ago,he just laughed and said ,are you kidding,just look at you,your a mess,LOL,but hey we are all doing our part for our country,no matter whos sitting in the white house.Thanks again,Chet

Chester and Dee, may the memory of your oldest son be blessed - He's put in the ultimate effort for the defense of your homeland. You have paid dearly for that. And yes, you sure have a family to be proud of. Though I don't live in the U.S. I still would like to say 'thank you', because it is because of men and women like you this world hasn't gone totally bananas.

chester and dee first of all i'ld like to compliment you on the undoubted fine job you've done raising your children with the values that have sustained this country thru many times of turmoil. my sincere condolences on the loss of your son. although i haven't lost a son i've seen many of my friends exit the field in bags and my son is now a combat medic getting ready to deploy to afganhistan. to be in the midst of such honorable peers and to know that there are familys out there that understand the meaning of honor, duty, country and instill that into there children is very heartening. my prayers, thoughts and thanks go out to you and your family.
