I just purchased a Dan Wesson Arms model W12 from a freind. Can anyone tell me where the serial number is located and an idea of the actual value of the gun? It has less than a box of shells fired through it and is in like new condition. Any help would be great. Thank you.

I don't know if this will really help, but on gunsamerica.com (classified section) there's a w12 in .357 mag with several accesories for $699 from seller: Gun Barn. Listing #976935982. Not exactly Blue Book quality evaluation of price, but maybe it will help.

Hi nemesis,
This is actually a really good way of price evaluation.
The price that the items get on auctions over the internet.
The next step is registering the gun, or taking it for appraisal but for appraisal you need to take the actual gun to an actual person.
