A friend gave me a M1911 Al. I'd like to see what it's worth. It is serial # 2239805, markings are Remington Rand, Syracuse NY USA, United States Property, M1911 Al US Army. It has a chrome finish.

hello;; the chrome finish will lower the actual value to a collector ,,if it wasn't chromed it may bring over a thousand ,chromed it will proably be half that figure so i'd say mabey 500 for someone looking for a shooter not a collector..a gunshop would proably offer ya around 300if it's a good shooting example
