A colleagues of mine from a branch located in Europe owns an antique pistol(revolver) Smith Wesson 38 caliber serial number 37515 which is said to be manufactured in 19th century.Can we know approx. value of it?

hello..smith and wesson serial number are not available from model to model to my knowledge ,,i beleive ther may be special books that could maybee breake down certain revolvers and my refrence books will list many serial number ranges but would give me model numbers associated with certain serial numbers ,,before we can giv a value we need to know a model number or model name ,,

,,on smith and wesson pistols information like any patent dates or names will help ,,or if you could a pic showing the pistol will help id tghe right model with the pistol ,,but no specific serial numbers are available unless you would contact smith and wesson directly,,sorry but smith made too many variations to try to guess what your friend has buy your breif description,,
