I have an 870 wingmaster magnum that my grandfather gave me. I hate the gun and am wanting to make it fit me. Is the gun too valueable to have the barel cut off and screw in chokes installed? The stocks have been replaced with some 1990's factory stocks. The barel and action had that nasty camo tape on it so the finish is not too good. There is some of the original blueing but the are also "patches" of pitting where it rusted under the tape. Anything will help me make up my mind.
