Is the 6,5-284 Norma just the 'commercial' version of the older wildcat? In 'Cartridges of the world' by Frank C Barnes there is a slightly difference in the shoulder radius of these two.

I would suspect that the differences are insignificant. I've shot a 6.5-284 Norma case in a barrel chambered for the .284W case necked-down to 6.5; and a friend has shot necked-down .284W Winchester cases in a barrel chambered for the 6.5-284W Norma.

Morten, you are welcome.
Do you plan to have a rifle chambered with the 6.5-284W?
It's a fine long range (600-1000yd) cartridge.

Do you have any loading data? Do the feed rails on an M98 have to be modified to feed reliably?

Many people use 49-50gr of H4350 or 53-55gr of VV160 or H4831 with the Sierra 142 HPBT.
Start below these numbers and work up.
I would think that a M98 action can feed the .284W case.
