hello ,,your Parker's Snow& co.1863 dated rifle is proably a varient of the 1861 springfield rifle,,many gunmakers were under contract to make rifles during the civil war.they were based in Meriden Conn and they made a total quanity of 15000 rifles from 1863-1864,,the 1863 marked versions are beleived to have been a contract of James Mulholland's contract of 1861 of which only 5502 rifles were delivered although my refrences say that there isn't 100% proof of these facts..but 1863 dated examples definatly command a premium over the 1864 dated examples,,my book for antique firearms is flaydermans guide to antique firearms but is a few years old so these prices may be a little low.. but values are in the 800 good -1900 fine range ..definatly a good collectors item with some history..and would warrent a hands on appraisial from a civil war firearms collector for exact values..but that should get you in the balpark,,
