There is a date above that says Pat. Oct. 14. 1884
I m look to sell or trade the gun for a AR 15. I have talk to a couple gun dealers. The senses is that the gun is valued at about $1500.00

Your rifle is good looking but the metal has obviously been buffed and reblued. That pretty much kills it for collector value which could easily be $6000 to $8000. But my guess is that you can do better than $1500 fore sure. I would put it on Gunbroker.com and have a $1500 reserve. Start the bidding at $500 or so. Put it out as refinished so that people don't think you are hiding the fact and you might do quite well.
