Anyone know the value of a 32 gauge double barrel. It was manufactured around 1900 bt Edouard Schroeder in Belgian. It is in excellent condition.

i've done a little research and can't find anything with that spelling for any weapons new or old. would you check the spelling and possibly any other markings on the shotgun.

That is the makers name I found it on the internet. I did a search for Schroeder 1883 belgian. The gun is marked with ES in a circle. The letter p with a star over it, and the numbers 129. It also has EL in script writing. I can not find anyone to give me some sort of value on it.

That's about as much as i can find also, i did find a 1932 catalog for sale

@http://www.cornellpubs.com/Templates3/Schroeder% 20Freres%201932.html

The only other advise i could give would be to have it appraised for insurance purposes. JMHO

Do you believe it is worth enough to insure it?

Thank you very much. I am going to sell it as soon as I can get some knowledge on the value. I found it in a garage I was cleaning out the guy told me to take it for payment.

If you go to shotgunworld.com you can find more information on your weapon. some of the old ones go for over 20,000$. I would take kims advice and get it appraised!

I went to shotgunworld.com and they said it would probably be worth 600 to 800 that they are scarse but not rare, does that sound right?
