Can you tell me the approximate age and value of a .303 British stamped No4MkI* Longbranch, serial #D2786A? Thank you.

age is ww2 years ,,the longbranch model was 1 of 2 made in north america for the british during ww2 the other was made by savage ,,and yours was made at the longbranch factory in canada..alot of no4'S came into the country in the last 10 years and at one time they could be had pretty cheap,,but the market has dryed up and the one i see now are selling for around 200-250 ,,IF a matching example ,,bolt should match serial number on wrist strap,,,the stock might be numbered to the gun also,,clips seldom match but if it does thats a plus,,next thing to look at is it import stamped?if not thats a plus also,,it would be marked either on the barrel peice theat isn't covered by wood near the front site or mabey the left side or on the charger bridge bottom right side,,so if you hyave a matching non import rifle then the price could be as high as 300-350 to the right collector looking for a nice long branch enfield ..
