how to tell how old my REMINGTON 30-06 742 WOODMASTER is the s/n is 211xxx?

remington used a date code marked on the barrel ..usually on the left side ,,will be 2-3 letters and the first letter will be the month and this is the system they used for month of manufacture BLACKPOWDERX with B being january-X for december then the sceond or 2+3 being the year ..so ya need both to tell your year and month,,if you post the code we can proably tell ya the year..
