Flyfishing is my field of expertise, so I am coming to all of you for info on something I know little about. I am trying to find app. value and any info on a 25-20 Stevens with a falling block action(I think) and a 24.5 inch heavy barrel with the first 8 inches in octagon. Serial # is 61xxx.
Overall length is 42 inches. There is no checkering on the stock or forearm. The only writing on the barrel is 25.20 on the left side of the octagon and J. Stevens A&T Co, Chicopee Falls, Mass.U.S.A on the right side. I am not able to post pictures to make it easier for ID. Sorry.
