I have 2 of these which my dad owned since the 60's. Colt DA 45 engraved on barrels. S/N's 34548 and 42590. FB & RAC engraved on both. 34xxx has MORRC 5(?) engraved on grip, 42xxx has MORRC 24 on grip. Any idea of their value?

it looks like you have 2 very nice examples of the 1909 new service revolvers ,,and i'd estimate that if there as clean as they look they should be worth 1000-1500 each and possibly more at the right auction ,,we have a colt athority on our board and i'm hoping he will chime in on the morrc markings and mabey even give a better estimate on the values ,,..i beleive that your serial number 34548 was made in 1912 0r 13 and your 42590 pistol was nade in 1917 or 18,,

Thanks for your reply bigcurt. I've been wondering for a while what these might be worth. Nice to have some history on the years of origin too. I'd like to find out what the MORRC significance is too.
