I've got Grampa's 1913 Model 12 20 ga. Problem is, its got issues. He installed a poly choke on it and it's pitted in places where rust was removed. No cracks in the stock or forend and shoots great. Anyone know the value of this gun?

Old and Beat,

It's greatest value is that it was your grandfather's. Alterations like poly chokes, which are great fot hunting, seriously detract from the value. As does the pitting and old rust. You are probably looking at a $300 to $400 gun.

Hope that helps. Take care of it. Don't let it get any worse and enjoy the conection to another time in your family.

I knew the alteration and condition were a problem. Just for curiosity's sake, what if it was in decent shape and had no poly?

Thanks for yor help!
