I wasnt very helpful on your other question. If you Winchester is a pump, not a semi automatic, Im going to guess it is a model 12. From what I can find on the internet the serial number you posted was made in 1914.

I got that from here.

Value will depend on condition. Tell us more about the gun. rusty? wood beat up, any cracks. What is on the butt, a pad or a butt plate. How long is the barrel, is the bead still on the end or has it been cut?

If you go to a site like gunbroker.com and type in winchester model 12 you will see how many variations there are, and how the values people place on them differ.

Keep in mind that some of those guns may have been listed on there for months because the asking price is too high.

hello ,,this is a tough question to answer ,,like grogel stated if it's a pump then it would be a md 12,,BUT winchesters first semi auto shotgun was the md 1911 which was designed by T.C.Johnson and was introduced in oct 1911,,this semi was introduced to stimulate the winchester market due to the fact that remington had introduced the model 11 autoloading shotgun designed by john browning..the design had weakness and never really was improved and was discontinued in 1925 with only 83000 guns sold ,,so if indeed yours is a md .1911 semi auto then values for the plain model would be 375 good -500exc,,they did make a fancy model with a birtch laminate stock and for this grade the price is 500 good -800 exc,,,,

The butt is cracked theres no rust at all the beads still on it the butt plate says winchester reapeting arms co,the barrel is 28 inches and its a semi ,to chamber a shell you use the barrel and pull the actuall barrel itself to chamber a round.Hopefully thuis info helps!
