Hello, just wondering if I could get an idea of a range in values for the following. I have not seen the gun though I will have the opportunity to shoot the gun this week. What I have been told so far: I do not have a serial number.
Series 70 National Match Gun
Barstow Barrel, Custom slide ? Caspian with front and rear cocking serrations, Adjustable match trigger and match grade sear, Enlarged mag well, Beaver tail safety, checkered mainspring housing, Bomar rear site, Fibre optics front site, custom slide stop unknown brand, Ambidestrous safety, enlarged mag release button. The gun also includes the original parts before the gun was upgraded and 8 Wilson Combat brand magazines.
Gun was set up to qualify in the 1911 class competition. Estimated 1,000 rounds

hello..first off it sounds like a high end pistol set up for match/compition shooting ,,the add ons you talk about are preimum additions and for a standard original pistol values would be around 600-800,,with the add ons you mentioned and if it shoots as good as it sounds then i'd estimate it at around 1500+or- used ,,things to think about are who did the work and was it done right ,,i could buy the parts and install them but i don't set up match guns and my work may not be up to match grade standards..
,,it sounds like a very nice gun and id try it out for sure before you buy it and see how it shoots for you ..especially if it's a high dollar gun,,you gotta like it or it isn't worth investing in for just a chance to make money on because sometimes ya make some and some times ya don't,,only people that the above features will attract are match or compition shooters,,average shooters won't pay for fancy bells and whistles just for a shooter ..most match shooters or compition shooters will have there guns built the way they want them and most of them don't buy a gun just because of the bells and whistles someone installed on them ..they want them to fit and do what they need to win with!!,,this is just my opinion mind ya !!

Thanks for the info Curt.
The guy who is selling it is selling it for a friend that moved away along with some other guns. This is one of those friends of a friend deals for $800. It is my understanding that the person selling the guns as well as the person who had the gun built professionally were National Champions a few years ago. Time I am unsure. I was just looking for a .45 to have when we go out to the range and asked a friend who finds deals if he knew of anything, he laughed because he was going to call me to tell me about the gun his friend was selling. The plus for me is I am left handed and with the saftey on both sides seems like a plus to me. Not a big gun guy so it sounds like more than I need for a few rounds at the range every so often though for the price it also sounds like I can't go wrong.
If I get any more information I will let you know what I find. Again, thanks for all your help.

Hello BigCurt,
I was able to get a Serial Number 20165-NM. Not sure if that changes anything or makes it worth more or less money. Is there anything that I should consider before making this purchase.
Thanks for your info.
