I have a 1894 winchester ser#268xxx,I believe it was made in 1902? it is a 38-55it is in pretty good condition.I.m just looking for a rough idea of the value as I am thinking of trading it toward a colt "peacemaker' or similar type revolver,I would like some idea before I take it to a gun store for tradein. Thanks

it was made in 1902 and value for it should be in the 1000-1500+ range in good condition at auction or to a collector..trade value is always lower and a dealer may offer you in the 300-500 range on a trade ...if he really wants it or has a market for it ..mabey a little more..
