hello,,Lc smith shotguns are a very collectable shotgun and it's very hard to give a good apprasial without a hands on apprasial,,so i would recommend finding a good lc collector online ger a hands on apprasial ,,i don't usually see beat up lc's for less than 500 and the price goes up from there to over 10000 for fancy grade models in excellent condition!! yours sounds like it's an early model and for high collector intrest it has to be in at least good -very good condition ,,any less than these conditions will lower the value on the older damascus barreled models ,,LC smiths are alittle outa my feild because of there prices so i can't be exactly sure just what you have from your description ,,if ther are nay gunshows in your aera there would be a place to start,,or do a search of LC Smith online at one of the gun auction sites like auctionarms.com or gunroker.com and see if you can get a comparison of simular guns and what people are selling them for ,,but make sure when you look on auction sites that the items HAVE BIDS,,items without bids don't give mean anything but what someone has listed it for ..and alot of times it's way over what a collector thinks it's worth or he would bid on it and look and what something simular to yours closes at and see just what it actually brought when the auction ended ,,many times the prices will go up in the last minutes of the auction..another place to compare prices would be gunsamerica .com..there you will see fixed prices for guns of all sorts ,,but again if it's there and not sold it's either too high priced or the right dealer or collector hasn't found it yet,,
