It is next to impossible to buy a box of .17 HMR in Western Canada. One dealer is down to two bricks of the stuff and says he can't get more. Is this ammo available in the U.S. or is this a Canadian only problem?

CCI is making a version with the Speer TNT bullet loaded. It should be no problem to locate.

It was a problem for awhile down here. Shelves are slowly but surly getting stocked and the price is working its way down. WalMart is carrying the CCI brand now at $9.80 (US) a box of 50 and I have gotten the Hornady brand as low as $8.50 at a few places. Try buying on the internet. I once ordered from Cabela's and had the stuff within a week.

We've been having trouble getting it too. The distributors don't seem to get much and the shops are getting only a couple of boxes at a time.

Getting ammo across the border by mail order is approaching a nightmare... Getting ammo shipped in Canada is an expensive proposition.
